Unofficial Results Show Victory

Unofficial results show a victory for me in the December 13 primary for the special election for state senator from the Second Suffolk and Middlesex District.

The Cambridge Civic Journal has published a tally, showing me winning with 4958 out of 15180 votes cast (33%), Jon Hecht in second at 3899 (26%), Bob McCarthy in 3d with 3436 (23%) and Tim Schofield in fourth with 2887 (19%). Read more »

The Herald said: "While we have our disagreements with all four, one candidate has demonstrated an admirable independent streak while serving in the House ... Brownsberger has not been afraid to challenge legislative leaders and their habit of conducting the people’s business behind closed doors."

Our campaign headquarters are at 495 Trapelo Road in Belmont.

The office is open Sunday-Thursday from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Residents of all neighborhoods in the 2nd Suffolk & Middlesex district are encouraged to stop by at any time.
